CHRISTMAS GIFT DRIVE
MEXCIO, 2023 DECEMBER
Help our local church, community and orphanage in Cancun and Isla Mujeres, Mexico
Be Better Human, is dedicated to help poor communities all over over the world. This year we have collaborated with Casa Bene, an Airbnb in Isla Mujeres to help them with their yearly effort to bring Christmas gifts to the kids of the Island. Every year Casa Bene gifts hundreds of backpacks to the local kids filled with all kind of goodies, toys, school supplies and more. This year we want to help Casa Bene to double their efforts and bring even more backpacks not just to the Island but to an orphanage in Cancun too.
Every dollar helps! We ask you to help us with donations that will go 100 % towards the gifts. Neither Casa Bene or Better Human will take any fees. BEACH CLEAN UP
Helping The Earth
At Be Better Human, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. Clean beaches are by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.offers a variety of ways for you to lend a hand picking up trash and preventing marine debris from accumulating in our ocean.
Join us or do it-yourself! Option for small groups looking to take the lead and organize their own cleanup. A great option for groups of friends, classmates, scouting groups, social clubs, and more.
By attending a beach cleanup, you can have an immediate positive impact on our environment by removing trash before it infiltrates our inland and coastal waters.
For all cleanups, please be prepared to:
Dress comfortably, use sun protection, and bring water in a reusable bottle (no single-use water bottles, please!).
Fill out a waiver before or at the start of the cleanup event.
Contribute to our ongoing, multi-year marine debris database by filling out a data sheet as you participate in the cleanup. Data collection is an important component of all our cleanups, and allows volunteers to directly contribute to our understanding of the quantities, types, and origins of trash on our beaches, which in turn supports local advocacy efforts to reduce debris in our rivers, streams, and ocean.
HOMELESS OUTREACH
One Step at a Time
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge.
Homeless Outreach is something that we take very seriously,
and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact.
Homelessness has been an ongoing issue in Los Angeles.
Since the Coronavirus started, the numbers of tents are rapidly increasing in many areas of LA.
We noticed a huge change in the number of tents for example under the 405 freeway overpass on Venice Boulevard. We talked to Maggie who lives there and We was very sad to hear that they don’t have clean water.
The water fountain on the corner gives dirty water. For us, it is unacceptable that humans in the 21st century don’t have basic necessities. Are we just going to watch this or will we do something about it?
We feel like it’s never been so important to support each other. Imagine the burdens these people face on a daily basis who live on the streets in tents. We can help by bringing food, water, clothes including underwear and socks, shoes, blankets, pillows, wet wipes, gloves, masks, hygiene packs that include toothbrush, toothpaste, soap... etc.
If You currently have time to organize your closet and have clothes that You don’t need any more, please think of people who live on the streets, they would appreciate it.
Let’s support each other as a community! Together we can make a difference by letting people know that they matter. We are all in this together - Let’s help, spread love, give hope and courage to people who need it the most!
