I had this vision to create a site through which the members of the community are challenged to develop a project that yields a positive impact on society, even if it is the smallest act of kindness.  With that involvement You become a member.  Well here it is! Welcome to Be a Better Human.  Please join us to create a better world!  Send us your project, idea, or something that you have worked on in the past.  It doesn’t matter if you are passionate about being zero waste, or animal rights, it is the effort that matters.  If you are not ready to join us, I have put together a simple guideline of principles that you can follow in order to create a better world.  You can try them, or consider them, what matters is that you are on your way to be better than you were yesterday.  Nobody is perfect.  We just ask that you at least try.  Here at Be a Better Human we wanted to create a supportive community of better humans internationally.  We have a forum where you can share ideas, tips and other information.  We encourage you to check out our news and blog page where we welcome your article to share with the group as long as it fits in our community message.

We are a new start up group and everyone on board is a volunteer.  We are grateful for everyone who supports us.  We have implemented the Be a Better Human Award which could be given to anyone who was nominated for creating some kind of successful positive impact!  The award is acknowledgement.  Beyond that, we may offer some kind of gift from our shop.  Yes, we have a shop!  When I decided to start my zero waste journeys, I realized that I needed to replace several everyday items permanently to long lasting and still recyclable products.  This led to the idea of putting together a zero waste kit.  This kit will not just help the beginner zero waster but will also help our organization to be alive and running.  We donate some of our profit to plant trees and to help our ongoing Be a Better Human organization.  Please visit our shop and get your kit while it lasts!  We also added a section where you can find other ways to give back. Check out the volunteer section and see where you can help out in your local area or internationally.  If you can’t commit but still want to do something, you can sign petitions here or can donate to organizations.  Well, that is my better human project!

Forum comes with a Member’s Area, which site visitors can use to get to know each other and personalize their profile pages.  Members can also add new posts, pictures, write comments, and like posts.

When visitors sign up as members, they can join conversations, follow posts, upload media, leave comments, and be notified of any new activity in discussions they’re following.  Site owners can use Wix Chat to speak to both site members and visitors directly.
